As with every one of its lineups, Sony focuses on delivering immersive picture quality, innovative sound solutions, and best in-class processing; all hallmarks of the Sony BRAVIA brand. Let's delve into the exciting new additions:

Bravia 2 MKII: The Enhanced Entry to Sony Picture Quality

The BRAVIA 2 MKII is designed for viewers seeking a significant step up in picture quality and smart functionality without venturing into premium price points. It serves as an excellent all-around performer for daily viewing, streaming, and casual gaming. The "MKII" designation indicates a refinement of its predecessor, likely offering improvements in processing, brightness, or backlighting technology. Launched in other parts of the world in its first generation last year, the Bravia 2 makes its North American debut in 2025 with its second-generation model.

An entry-level LED model, the Bravia 2 MKII offers more than adequate performance for a variety of uses. Its 4K resolution delivers stunning images, enhanced by Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies for immersive sound. The Bravia 2 MKII's processor also upscales HD content to a resolution comparable to 4K. The integrated Google interface also provides quick access to an almost endless amount of content, as well as the ability to easily cast content from your phone or tablet.

The BRAVIA 2 MKII logically updates and replaces the 2024 BRAVIA 2 model in other markets, but more directly replaces the X77L series in North America. It is currently available in 55", 65", and 75" sizes.

Bravia 5: The New Mid-Range Champion for Immersive Entertainment

The all-new BRAVIA 5 series is strategically positioned in the mid-range of Sony’s TV lineup, replacing the X90L.It offers performance that rivals higher-end models with an all-new Full Array Mini-LED pane and improved Triluminos Pro colour reproduction.

Mini LED technology, also present in the Bravia 7 and Bravia 9 models, delivers bright backlighting with much deeper contrast and blacks, thanks to its multiple dimming zones (six times the amount present in the X90L it is replacing). Dolby Vision HDR ensures full utilization of this technology, offering vibrant colors and unparalleled contrast. The Bravia 5 is also well-suited for gaming, with HDMI 2.1 ports supporting up to 4K 120Hz resolution. Additionally, its Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) ensures a smooth and stable image, and the Low Latency Mode (ALLM) provides near-instantaneous response times.

The Bravia 5 is available in 55", 65", 75", 85", and 98" sizes.

Bravia 8 MKII: The new king of OLED

Although its name may indicate otherwise, the Bravia 8 MKII QD-OLED is the much-anticipated successor to the celebrated A95L; considered by most as the best OLED television of 2024. The Bravia 8 MKII builds on this excellence with the introduction of the next-generation QD-OLED panel with peak brightness levels 25% higher than the A95L, while also further improving the unmatched colour reproduction and contrast its predecessor was celebrated for; the closest ever to studio-reference monitors.

The Bravia 8 MKII also features a slimmer design and an impressively refined build. It also promises one of the more immersive sound experiences, with sound coming directly from the screen itself thanks to Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology. All of these features are in addition to those mentioned in the two other models.

The Bravia 8 MKII is specifically available in 55" and 65" sizes. For larger formats, the 77" continues under the A95L series as well as the A80L series for an 83” option; both remain unchanged from last year.
