Audio-Technica
In 1962, Hideo Matsushita founded Audio-Technica with the aim of producing high-quality sound for everyone, and created the very first truly affordable phono cartridge, the AT-1, in his small apartment in Shinjuku, Tokyo. 60 years later, building on this passion for listening, the company has expanded further to design critically acclaimed headphones, turntables and microphones, while remaining a family-run business and retaining the conviction that high-quality sound should be accessible to all.
