Nine-Channel Amplification and Twelve-Channel Processing

The AVA15 follows ARCAM's music-first engineering tradition, designed in Cambridge, UK. Its Class D power section delivers 75 W per channel into 8 ohms with all nine channels driven simultaneously and 100 W per channel into 8 ohms with two channels driven, across the 20 Hz-20 kHz bandwidth. The processor includes twelve channels of processing, providing pre-outs for additional height or subwoofer channels on top of the nine on-board amplifiers.

Immersive Decoding and HDMI 2.1a Video

The AVA15 natively decodes Dolby Atmos and DTS:X and can drive a full immersive setup in 7.1.2 or 5.1.4 from its internal amplifiers alone. It provides seven HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs conforming to HDMI 2.1a, with 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz video pass-through. Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG high dynamic range formats are supported alongside eARC, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for current-generation gaming consoles.

Integrated Dirac Live Room Correction

The AVA15 ships with Dirac Live Room Correction. Using the included measurement microphone and the supplied 5 m USB cable, the system measures each speaker's response in the listening room and corrects time alignment and frequency response. The system is upgradable to Dirac Live Bass Control (multi-subwoofer integration) and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment (ART) through licenses purchased directly from Dirac.

Network Streaming, Bluetooth, and Control

Network streaming covers Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Qobuz Connect, and the unit is Roon Ready with support for high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz. Bluetooth 5.4 adds Auracast and Snapdragon Sound support. A 6.5-inch front-panel color display shows metadata and status, and a backlit Bluetooth remote is included so the AVA15 can be controlled even when installed inside a closed cabinet. The ARCAM Radia app handles setup and playback control.

What speaker layouts can be driven without an external power amplifier?

The nine on-board amplification channels drive the most common Dolby Atmos layouts directly: 7.1.2 (seven ground-level speakers, one subwoofer, two height speakers) or 5.1.4 (five ground-level speakers, one subwoofer, four height speakers). The twelve-channel processor also provides pre-outs so that additional height speakers or subwoofers can be added through an external amplifier.

Does the AVA15 support current-generation gaming consoles?

Yes. The seven HDMI 2.1a inputs and two HDMI 2.1a outputs support 4K at 120 Hz and 8K at 60 Hz, along with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) required by current-generation consoles.
