Description

The Cinnamon range adds 1.25% silver to the solid conductors of its predecessors. Like all Audioquest digital cables, the Cinnamon range uses solid high-density polyethylene insulation and precise geometry. Particular attention has been paid to maximizing performance, and indeed, Audioquest cables push sonic performance to new levels.

1.25% solid silver conductors for enhanced digital performance

Rigid conductors eliminate strand interaction distortion and reduce digital distortion (jitter). Solid silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, such as digital audio. These signals, being of very high frequency, travel almost exclusively along the surface of the conductor. Because the surface is made of high-purity silver, performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but the price is much closer to that of a solid copper cable. It's an incredibly cost-effective way of manufacturing very high-quality cables.
 

Metal-layer noise-dissipation system

It's easy to achieve 100% shielding coverage. To prevent captured radio frequency interference (RFI) from modulating the equipment's ground reference, Audioquest's Noise Dissipation System (NDS) is required. Traditional shielding systems typically absorb and drain noise and RFI energy to component ground, modulating and distorting the critical reference ground plane, causing signal distortion. NDS protects the shield, absorbing and reflecting most of this RF noise/energy before it reaches the grounded layer.
 

Solid-cell foam insulation

Solid-cell foam (HCF) insulation ensures critical signal pair geometry. Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and PCB materials all absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Hard-cell foam insulation is similar to the foamed polyethylene used in our more affordable Bridges & Falls cables, and is injected with nitrogen to create air pockets. Since nitrogen (like air) does not absorb energy and therefore does not release energy from or into the conductor, distortion is reduced. What's more, the rigidity of the material enables the cable's conductors to maintain a stable relationship along its entire length, producing a stable impedance and minimizing distortion.
