2 × 65 W Integrated Amplifier and CD Player

The CEOL N-12 has an integrated 2 × 65 W stereo amplifier (into 4 ohms) sized to drive a pair of bookshelf speakers. A front-loading CD player reads audio CDs, CD-R, and CD-RW. The front panel has a display, top-panel touch controls, and a USB-A port. The compact chassis (280 mm wide, 108 mm high, 305 mm deep, 3.4 kg) fits on a living-room shelf, a bedside table, or a desk.

HEOS Built-In, HDMI ARC, and Streaming Services

HEOS Built-In is included and gives direct access to Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Amazon Music, Deezer, Pandora, TuneIn, and Roon, along with internet radio. Networking is dual-band Wi-Fi and Ethernet (RJ-45). Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth are supported for streaming from a mobile device. An HDMI ARC input carries TV audio through a single cable and lets the TV remote control the volume. HEOS also lets multiple compatible devices sync across rooms.

MM Phono Input, Subwoofer Output, and Connectivity

A built-in moving-magnet (MM) phono preamplifier is included, so a turntable with an MM cartridge can connect directly without an external phono stage. The rear panel also has an AUX (RCA) input, an optical digital input, the HDMI ARC input, an AM/FM tuner with antenna input, a line-level subwoofer output, a headphone jack (mini plug), and speaker binding posts. The phono preamplifier can be used in parallel with the other sources.

Voice Assistants and File Format Support

The N-12 plays MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC (up to 192 kHz), ALAC (Apple Lossless), DSD, and M3U and WPL playlists from a front-panel USB stick or a network share. Voice control is supported through Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri via the HEOS app. The matte-finish chassis follows the current CEOL visual language — compact, uncluttered display, and no glossy accents.

Common Questions

Can I connect a subwoofer or headphones?

Yes. The rear panel has a line-level subwoofer output (SW OUT) for an active subwoofer. The front panel has a mini-jack headphone output that automatically mutes the speaker outputs when a headphone is plugged in.

Which speakers can I connect?

The N-12 is sized to drive a pair of passive bookshelf speakers with a nominal impedance of 4 to 6 ohms, using the rear speaker binding posts. It does not drive active (powered) speakers directly — those connect instead to the subwoofer output or a line output.

Which music services are supported?

Through the HEOS app and the HEOS Built-In platform: Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Amazon Music, Deezer, Pandora, TuneIn, Roon, and internet radio. Apple AirPlay 2 also lets you send audio directly from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. The exact service list can change with updates and by region.

Does this model include DAB+ radio?

The North American CEOL N-12 (RCD-N12) has an AM/FM tuner. DAB+ radio is only offered on the European CEOL N-12 DAB version and is not deployed in Canada. Digital radio is available through HEOS and TuneIn (internet radio).
