Description

Overview and purpose
The BT11 is a pocket-sized high-resolution Bluetooth transmitter engineered to bring lossless and low-latency wireless audio to modern source devices. Designed around Qualcomm’s flagship QCC5181 platform, the BT11 enables LDAC (up to 96 kHz/24-bit), aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless and a full suite of Qualcomm aptX codecs, while also supporting LE Audio to reduce end-to-end latency to around 50 ms. Its compact form factor and robust codec support make it suitable for use with USB-C hosts such as iPhone 15 series, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Windows and macOS computers.

Hardware and connectivity
The BT11 houses a quad-core application processor and two 240 MHz Qualcomm Kalimba audio DSPs to run advanced audio algorithms and Snapdragon Sound features. Physical connectivity is via a gold-plated USB-C port; a USB-A adapter is included for legacy hosts. PDS antenna technology is implemented to extend RF range and stability, producing a typical usable transmission radius in excess of 50 metres depending on environment and codec. Bluetooth 5.4 firmware delivers better connection robustness and lower power consumption compared to earlier Bluetooth versions.

Audio processing and codecs
The transmitter performs real-time codec negotiation and hardware-level encoding for LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency and SBC. LDAC operation supports 96 kHz/24-bit streams when the receiving headset supports it. LE Audio support and advanced DSP reduce perceptible latency and improve synchronization for gaming and video use. The BT11 also supports simultaneous pairing to two receiving devices, enabling shared listening or dual-device workflows.

User interface, app and upgrades
Status is conveyed via an RGB indicator that reflects pairing state and active codec. Extended functionality is available through the FIIO Control App, which provides OTA firmware updates, dual-device pairing management, indicator control, volume/ balance adjustments and pairing lists. The BT11 has no physical buttons; all advanced controls and secondary pairing operations are handled in-app following initial pairing.

Power, dimensions and compatibility
Weighing approximately 3 g and measuring roughly 28 × 21 × 9 mm, the BT11 is effectively a “button-sized” transmitter. Static current draw is under 22 mA when connected, and the device hosts a low-power Bluetooth 5.4 stack for extended operating periods when used with host devices. Manufacturer compatibility lists include modern USB-C iOS devices (iPhone 15 series), a broad range of Windows/macOS computers, PS5 and Nintendo Switch; compatibility for specific Android devices will be expanded and updated as testing continues.
