The Gigas 1 uses a discrete Class AB power stage built around eight ON Semiconductor transistors — 4 × MJE243G and 4 × MJE253G — paired with op-amps for the input stage. This kind of design aims at high current capability and a low output impedance, which helps drive planar magnetic headphones and low-sensitivity dynamic headphones. A gain switch adapts the output level for sensitive in-ear monitors or harder-to-drive over-ears.

Headphone Outputs, Line Inputs, and CTIA Microphone Support

The front panel has two headphone outputs: 4.4 mm balanced (up to 2 × 4600 mW into 32 ohms at 12 V PD) and 3.5 mm single-ended. The 3.5 mm output is wired to the CTIA standard, so it also carries the microphone signal from a compatible gaming or phone headset back to the source. The rear panel has a stereo RCA line input and a 3.5 mm mini-jack input for a DAC, a digital audio player, a computer, or a phone.
