Advanced acoustic architecture
At the core of the XIO are KEF’s signature Uni-Q MX drivers and P185 low-frequency drivers, supported by VECO (Velocity Control) technology. This configuration ensures exceptional audio dispersion and clarity throughout the room. The eight Class D amplifiers for mids/highs and four Class D amplifiers for bass work in harmony to deliver a peak power of 820 watts, producing deep, articulate lows and spacious, room-filling mids and highs.

Smart spatial awareness and tuning
Equipped with Intelligent Placement Technology (IPT), the XIO automatically detects nearby surfaces and adjusts EQ settings to maintain optimal acoustic balance. Whether wall-mounted or placed on a media stand, the XIO adapts its output to fit your space perfectly, providing consistent audio performance regardless of placement.

Seamless streaming and connectivity
With KEF Connect, AirPlay, Chromecast, Bluetooth 5.3, and UPnP compatibility, the XIO offers wide-ranging wireless streaming options. It supports high-resolution formats up to 384kHz/24-bit over network, and is compatible with all major music services including Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music, and more. Multiple inputs (HDMI eARC, optical, USB-C, RJ45) and outputs (wireless and RCA subwoofer connections) ensure versatile integration into any AV setup.

Refined aesthetics and user-friendly control
Inspired by contemporary design, the XIO features a sleek aluminum top panel and premium acoustic fabric grille. With both a remote control and the KEF Connect app, users can easily access sound modes, dialogue enhancement, streaming services, and system settings. The unit is designed for future expandability, including wireless surround support coming in autumn 2025.
