Loewe leo - Midnight Blue - Moonlight Beige

Description

Loewe's flagship headphone, designed and made in Germany

The Loewe leo occupies a category of its own: a wireless headphone that refuses to choose between high-end acoustic fidelity and modern technological convenience. Designed by Loewe's in-house Design Studio in Kronach, Germany, by a brand that has been building premium consumer electronics since 1923. It's the model for the listener who demands precise musical reproduction and rigorous craftsmanship in equal measure.

50 mm OCE drivers and dedicated Texas Instruments amplification

At the heart of the leo sits a 50 mm driver with an OCE (Olefin Composite Elastomer) diaphragm — a high-stiffness membrane with optimized internal damping that reduces unwanted resonances and distortion. To drive this membrane with authority, Loewe integrates a true Texas Instruments OPA1622 SoundPlus™ amplifier, an audiophile-grade component renowned for its ultra-low harmonic distortion. Result: precise vocals, clear highs and deep, controlled bass across an immersive soundstage, with 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz frequency response.

Three listening modes: ANC, Transparency and Adaptive

The intelligent ANC system continuously monitors your surroundings and adapts in real time to minimize ambient noise, whether you're commuting, working or traveling. Transparency mode lets you hear outside sounds on demand, while Adaptive mode automatically balances noise reduction and acoustic performance. 5 microphones handle hands-free calls and ANC with clarity, supported by Smart Calls and Fast Mute functions.

Mimi personalization and spatial audio

The listening experience is further refined by Mimi Hearing Technologies (Sound Personalization for Headphones): a built-in hearing test in the Loewe leo app assesses your individual profile and dynamically compensates for frequency gaps. The DSP platform is also optimized for Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio, unfolding a true three-dimensional stage on compatible content. The headphone is Apple MFi certified for seamless integration into the Apple ecosystem, and Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio (SBC, AAC, LC3) enables simultaneous connection to multiple devices via multipoint.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the Leo Assistant?

Leo Assistant is the AI voice assistant built into the headphones, developed in partnership with Bragi and OpenAI. It lets you capture voice notes, get information (weather, general knowledge) and above all use Smart Voice Translation for instant voice translation into the language of your choice.

Are the headphone components truly replaceable?

Yes, this is one of the pillars of Loewe's design approach. The ear cushions and headband are magnetically attached and swap without tools — a 'horizon bronze' accessory kit is even sold separately to refresh the headphone's look. The internal battery (3.7 V / 660 mAh) is replaceable by an authorized Loewe service center: if it loses capacity after several years, it can be swapped without discarding the headphones — a direct contrast with most premium wireless headphones whose glued-in battery seals their lifespan.

Can the headphone be used wired if the battery dies?

Yes. The headphones include an analog cable that plugs directly into the USB-C port on the earcup, terminating in a gold-plated 3.5 mm plug. This provides uninterrupted analog listening, ideal for connecting to an airplane's inflight entertainment system, a traditional headphone amplifier or a hi-fi source. The USB-C port also acts as a USB Audio input for direct digital playback from a computer.
