The CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is the central AV receiver in the Marantz CINEMA range. Nine channels of discrete Class A/B amplification with Current Feedback Topology and proprietary Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules (HDAM-SA2) deliver 110 W per channel into 8 ohms (150 W into 6 ohms) — enough to natively cover a 5.1.4 or 7.1.2 configuration with dedicated ceiling speakers. 11.4-channel processing with full multichannel pre-outs to add an external amplifier and extend to 5.1.6 or 7.1.4. Four independent RCA subwoofer outputs configurable in Standard or Directional mode for smooth bass distribution across large rooms.

The CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is one of the few consumer AV receivers to decode the full set of current 3D immersive formats: Dolby Atmos with Height Virtualization and Atmos Music, DTS:X with Neural:X and Virtual:X, IMAX Enhanced, AURO-3D, 360 Reality Audio, and MPEG-H. MDAX2 restores dynamics on compressed audio streams, Pure Direct mode for stereo.
