A suspension-free design
Unlike conventional MC cartridges that rely on a tie-wire suspension and foam damper—both of which introduce resonances and degrade with age—the Aphelion 2 follows a unique Rega philosophy. Using a rhomboid pivot system and an exclusive neodymium magnet design, it eliminates unwanted resonances while delivering crystal-clear high frequencies and tight, controlled bass.
