Technology and Design 
The all-new Nd3 moving magnet cartridge was developed over 10 years and promises to deliver "next level" performance from moving magnet technology. We believe the Nd range (patent pending) is a world first to use ultra-high powered Neodymium magnets, which allow us to create this totally unique design. Each Nd3 is meticulously handmade by highly skilled technicians. The stylus profile is a high-quality, elliptical polycrystalline diamond, bonded to a round titanium shank. The design uses brand new generator geometry with perfect symmetry to achieve accurate channel balance and reduced crosstalk, providing a much wider soundstage than previous models.

Technical Architecture and Materials 
The Nd3's generator has an optimized pole gap for superior linearity. The miniaturized parallel coils are wound in-house with 38-micron wire and just 1275 turns, which produces a low inductance, low impedance generator, vastly improving high-frequency response. The cartridge is housed in a lightweight and highly rigid glass-filled polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) body, which is injection-moulded to a zero-tolerance. This low-mass body reduces stress on the tonearm bearings and aids free movement, which is critical for accurate vinyl playback. The Nd3 cartridge uses Rega's 3-point mounting system.

Options and Commitment 
The Nd3 cartridge will be offered as a factory-fitted option on the Planar 2 and Planar 3 turntables, offering exceptional performance and value. Rega is committed to sustainability, as the Nd range is supplied in 100% recyclable packaging. Additionally, a rebuild scheme is available: if your cartridge is damaged or worn out, you can return it to a Rega dealer for a replacement at a reduced price.
