The all-new Nd5 moving magnet cartridge, developed over 10 years, aims to deliver "next level" performance. The Nd range, which is patent pending, is a world first to use an ultra-high powered Neodymium (Nd) magnet, the N55, which is the most powerful commercially available. This technology is key to the cartridge's unique design. Each Nd5 is meticulously handmade by highly skilled technicians. Its stylus, a perfect elliptical nude diamond, is created using an elliptical grinding process from polycrystalline man-made diamond.

Advanced Architecture and Materials
The Nd5 uses a new generator geometry with perfect symmetry for precise channel balance and reduced crosstalk, providing a much wider soundstage. It features miniaturized parallel coils wound in-house with 38-micron wire and just 1275 turns, which produces a low-inductance, low-impedance generator, vastly improving high-frequency response. The complete assembly is housed in a lightweight and highly rigid glass-filled polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) body, which is injection-molded to zero-tolerance. This low-mass material reduces stress on the tonearm bearings, which is crucial for accurate vinyl playback.

The Nd5's aluminum cantilever is fitted with a perfect elliptical nude diamond stylus, providing exceptional tracking and extracting a high level of detail. The Nd5 is compatible with Rega's 3-point mounting system. In a commitment to sustainability, the Nd range is supplied in 100% recyclable packaging. The Nd5 cartridge is also offered as a factory-fitted option on the Planar 3 and Planar 6 turntables at a discounted price compared to a separate purchase. A rebuild scheme is available, allowing you to replace a worn or damaged cartridge with a new one at a reduced price.
