How does user battery replacement work?

This is one of the MTW5's most distinctive features in the True Wireless world. The lithium-ion batteries (72 mAh per earbud, 760 mAh in the charging case) are explicitly designed to be user-replaceable. Sennheiser includes a dedicated replacement tool in the box. When the batteries wear (typically after 2-3 years of heavy use for a lithium-ion battery), you can restore original battery life without replacing the earbuds — a rare move toward repairability that meaningfully extends the product's useful life.
