The Amati Supreme is not simply an upgraded Amati: it is a loudspeaker that takes the upper drivers from Sonus faber's absolute flagship — the Suprema — and integrates them into a floorstanding format compatible with a domestic listening room. The "Supreme" designation identifies this direct relationship: super tweeter, tweeter, and Camelia midrange are, in Sonus faber's own words, "the exact same of Suprema." It is the way to access the Suprema's sound without the Suprema's format and logistics. Hand-built in Vicenza, Italy.

4.5-Way Architecture with Acoustic Cork Chamber

The Amati Supreme uses a 4.5-way architecture with four crossover points — a rare design that divides the audio spectrum into more bands than most loudspeakers on the market. The tweeter, super tweeter, and midrange are housed in an acoustic chamber damped with cork, an organic material with naturally irregular shapes that eliminates internal standing waves without introducing the colorations of a synthetic material. The cabinet retains the signature Sonus faber lute shape, finished in wood with aluminum flanges; the finish available here is Wengè, an exotic wood with a dark background.

Tweeter, Super Tweeter, and Camelia Midrange

High-frequency reproduction is handled by two distinct drivers, a signature of the highest Sonus faber models: a 38 mm main tweeter and a 20 mm super tweeter, both featuring double silk domes with dedicated waveguides and high-power neodymium motors. This dual reproduction extends response up to 40 kHz with an aerial presence that a single tweeter cannot reproduce. The midrange is handled by the famous 165 mm Camelia driver, equipped with the Dual Drive motor system and neodymium magnet — with its unpainted organic membrane inspired by the camelia flower and its five cuts that break circular resonances.

Dual 220 mm Dual Drive Woofers in Stealth Ultraflex

Low frequencies are driven by two 220 mm (8.7") woofers also equipped with the Dual Drive motor system. They are loaded in the Stealth Ultraflex bass-reflex system, whose port design is optimized to minimize audible turbulence at high excursion. Result: extension down to 28 Hz with measured control, even on the most demanding musical passages.

Phase Coherent Level 3 Crossover and The Adjuster

The crossover network is a Phase Coherent Level 3 — the most elaborate version of the Sonus faber topology — whose components are identical to those used in the Suprema, refined during the countless hours of listening that marked the flagship's development. On the rear of the loudspeaker, a MID-HIGH and MID-BASS adjustment system allows the listener to adapt the rendering to the acoustics of the listening room without external electronic correction.
