The RB110 tonearm is built with bespoke ultra-low friction bearings, designed to minimize resistance and maximize groove tracking accuracy. Its integrated bias assembly eliminates manual setup, while the ergonomically shaped headshell improves handling and cartridge alignment. This engineering ensures smooth operation and faithful reproduction of every record.

High-quality drive system for accurate speed
A 24 V synchronous AC motor, combined with a precision-machined aluminium pulley, provides low-noise operation and exceptional speed stability. Paired with Rega’s advanced EBLT drive belt, the Planar 1 delivers consistent rotational performance, preserving the timing and rhythm of your music.

Rigid plinth and refined aesthetics
Constructed from high-rigidity laminate, the plinth is available in three premium finishes: matt black, matt white, and walnut effect. The walnut edition includes a smoked dust cover for a sophisticated appearance. An ergonomically positioned on/off switch under the plinth keeps the design streamlined and unobtrusive.

Stable bearing and platter assembly
The precision brass main bearing is engineered for a perfect fit, reducing mechanical stress and minimizing unwanted vibration transfer. The 23 mm phenolic resin platter features a flywheel effect to maintain rotational stability, enhancing pitch accuracy and musical flow.
