Dedicated Support for the Sonetto I and Sonetto II

This stand is built specifically for the Sonetto I and Sonetto II bookshelf models from Sonus faber. The top plate is drilled to bolt directly into the base of the loudspeaker, creating a mechanically unified assembly between the speaker and the stand — the acoustic difference compared to loose placement on furniture is immediately audible in bass definition and soundstage focus.

 

Aluminum, Concrete, and Iron-Steel Composite

The construction combines three materials: aluminum for structural rigidity, concrete for mass and vibration damping, and iron steel for stability. The resulting weight (6.5 kg per stand) efficiently drains cabinet vibrations to the floor via the adjustable decoupling spikes. The 68.7 cm height places the tweeter at the ear level of a listener seated in the primary listening position.

Use with other loudspeakers remains possible as a generic platform, but loses the bolted mechanical anchoring that is their primary acoustic advantage.

 

Will the decoupling spikes damage hardwood flooring?

Bare metal spikes can scratch sensitive surfaces like hardwood or tile if placed directly on the surface. Sonus faber recommends using protective floor discs (sold separately) that sit between the spike and the floor — they preserve the acoustic decoupling while avoiding marks.
